Brussels: Statues and Food

Manneken Pis
It's much smaller in person than you would think.

Grand Place in Brussels. Often considered the most beautiful square in Europe. I felt like Bruges' square beat it hands down.

Went to a delicious chocolate museum just off the Grand Place.

Ate delicious waffles...

And pure Godiva hot chocolate.

Mainland Europe had so. many. statues. everywhere. And typically with no visible explanations as to the meaning behind them. Brussels is really where it started for us.

Of course we went to the European Parliament.

The Atomium. Built in 1958, you can go up the monument, but we decided to stick with the view from the ground, which was still pretty impressive.
