A spooky post for a Sunday morning.

Disclaimer... If you don't like bones, I'd recommend skipping this post. We went into the Paris Catacombs on our last day in the city. As weird as it was, it was one of my favorite things that we did in Paris. A little less common than some of the other attractions.

More pictures after the jump...

The Eiffel Tower

We decided to do the Eiffel Tower at the end of one of our days. It was quite busy, we waited in line for an hour and a half before going up. The couple in front of us helped keep us entertained. They made out the entire time, and kept winding and unwinding the girl's scarf around both of them. Ah, the Eiffel Tower.

We took the elevator to the top level...

 And walked down.

Versailles

Lovely, lovely scaffolding.

We actually ended up going to Versailles twice, two days in a row. The first day we forgot that the building was closed, so we wandered the beautiful grounds extensively.

It was cool to see the place so empty. We saw several locals jogging or walking through, but there wasn't the typical wall of tourists.

The closest we got to Sacré-Cœur...

The view from our balcony. See the tiny bit peaking out from the top of the building?

Just about a block from our hotel, right outside the Metro entrance.

Our budget hotel was only a few blocks from the red light district and the Moulin Rouge.

Paris: Part One

Arc de Triomphe

At the top there's a screen that shows video of the people underneath.

People in Paris were always offering to take our picture. It didn't happen much in England, but occurred more and more on mainland Europe.
